Galion Superintendent accepts same post at North Carolina district
On Tuesday, June 30, 2015, members of the Galion City School District board of education were informed that current superintendent, Mark Stefanik, had accepted an offer to become the superintendent at the Currituck County School District in North Carolina. Stefanik will begin his new position December 1. 
Galion Board and Teachers Association reach new agreement
The Galion City School District Board of Education and the Galion Education Association (GEA) have reached an agreement on a new multi-year contract for teachers in the district. The Board voted unanimously to accept the new contract during a special meeting June 11. 
Local scholarship opportunities abound for Galion seniors
Graduation is an exciting time of year for students, their families and educators. It marks the end of one journey and the beginning of new pursuits. 
Last day of school for Galion students is June 4
The inclement weather during the 2014-2015 school year has caused school districts to revise calendars. The Galion City School District will make up days missed during the winter season at the end of the school year. 
Galion High School Graduation set for June 5
The 2015 graduating class of Galion High School will receive their diplomas in the High School gymnasium at 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015. A total of 124 Galion seniors will be moving on to the next stage of their lives.
