THE SYNERGY CENTER PROJECT
Appropriately coined “The Synergy Center” The Center for the Arts (Auditorium) Committee has unveiled the initial architectural project renderings of the potential arts and community center that could one day be built on the Galion City Schools campus.   The Synergy Center would be fully funded by private donations, absolutely no tax dollars will be used. The Board of Education’s contribution to this project would be land.

The Center will include a 750 seat auditorium, an indoor sports facility and a beautiful, naturallly lighted foyer that can be used for community meetings and informal gatherings. In cooperation with the Seckel Group, the committee has developed the initial drawings of the facility. The building would be positioned between the high school and middle school.

The exterior of the building will pay homage to the previous high school, incorporating a sculture made from a number of the architectural pieces preserved from the former Galion High School.

The next step for the committee will be to develop a comprehensive business plan. Important areas to address in the plan will include information on funding the project, construction, and a long term plan for management and maintenance of the facility.
